Lorne & Queenscliff - Mar '03

Back to photo index

This drought breaking ride undertaken by a merry band of six Marauding rascals was preceded by good drenching rains in the days before. The train trip to Colac was designed so as the wind would be up our bums for the 65 km dash across the greening western district plains and ranges ranges to Lorne.
But our once great and undisputed tour leader, Mike Kermode, screwed up his "I know the way" reputation big time after he led us down a road back to Geelong. This forced us to bash unexpectedly back into the wind and up hill to regain the right road to Deans Marsh then Lorne.
The 110 km scenic trip along the Great Ocean Road on the Saturday to Queenscliff saw a number of photo opportunities taken and several lost. Sunday saw the girls enter the scene with lots of pics being taken at the Pt Lonsdale Rip lookout before a merry ride to lunch at Portarlington.

Mike's announcement that he was three months pregnant came as a surprise to all of us - but there was no doubting the evidence.
But after Buzz had finished with the group they were all pregnant. Boy, was he pleased with himself.
All we need is a clue - there must be a sign somewhere here to give us a hint of where we are.
The group was fascinated with Ross and Carolyn's demonstration on "Successful Bike Sex"
As a responsible couple, Ross and Carolyn discussed the virtues of safe sex - that's making love with your helmets on.
