The usual train ride to start the proceedings, "good" coffee
at Stawell then a pleasant 80km to Horsham. Friday night SMB at Victoria
Hotel, then a Saturday morning ride to the McKenzie farm near Dimboola.
Lunch and a ride on the header, then the short ride to "Dimmy"
(always thought that meant a Dim Sim). The group of 15 saw the play Dimboola
on Saturday night, slow ride to the Little Desert for some skinny dipping
on Sunday morning, then to Ararat for lunch at Vines. All in all a tentative
thumbs up for Trainee Tour-leader Borsitzky - a reasonable first effort.

The Sumo Cyclist, "Granite Collie" was
supposed to add strength to this year's elite team. However, arriving
with a broken wheel and losing his backpack - we were wondering
where his strengths lay. The balance of the team entertained Stawell's
mentally disabled population while the bike
mechanic drove from Ararat to rebuild Granite's wheel.
|
 |
Our worst fears were realised at the first stop
when Granite revealed his true self - a smoker with big tits!
|
 |
The team bonds on the morning of day
two with a heavy session at the tattoo parlour |
 |
The geriatrics were struggling until rescued by
Farmer Rob and a bottle of club sherry.
At least Rob knew where to park!
|
 |
Buzz discovered his true "inner
self" with the tattoos. Visibly growing in stature, he proceeded
to beat up Collie - much to his personal delight. |
 |
Collie's backside refused to go any further
- so he tried side-saddle for a while. |
 |
Thank God the McKenzie's farm equipment was better
than their bike collection.
Rita McKenzie, impressed by Buzz's tattoo collection,
thought she would do some aboriginal hand-painting on his head.
|
 |
After a fantastic lunch Marauder Mike
found it hard to get started again. |
 |
Dehydrated and anxious, Buzz called for
his traditional ambulance ride. However, after so many false calls
they wouldn't come - so we carried him to them! |
 |
Tired of "Short-arse Mike"
Marg thought she might try something in the "large economy range". |
 |
Rarely so happy, Wocka found the locals
accommodating and prepared to give anyone a try |
 |
Unable to contain himself any longer,
Rhinestone Roddy burst onto the stage to show the cast how to sing
with feeling |
 |
Mutton knows a sure thing when he sees
one. Kilborn squinted when the Dicky-bird Ride started - but soon
he was screaming "Yee-Ha"! |
 |
Mutton tried a more subdued approach
with Foster. Mutton confided here that he was actually deeply in love
with Kilborn and asked if he was married or not. |
 |
Having missed out on Mutton, Foster
went for some lamb. He was thrilled to find someone his own age and
intellect |
 |
When presented with her token of love
from Buzz, Di knew exactly how to handle it ... |
 |
... sadly, Buzz is seen here dry reaching
as Di says "This is what Ross likes" and tears the junket
gun off the balls. |
 |
Mike Kermode was on to a "hot local
drop" and was dazzling her with his quick wit (which unfortunately
only Roddy found funny). |
 |
The group was fascinated by their discovery
of a Yeti, but was a little alarmed by its aggressive behaviour |
 |
Having been rejected by Christine Sandow
during their skinny dip, Kilborn was keen to take on whoever he could
get |
 |
Abbott and Costello were hired by our
orgainser to gain valuable and sorely needed points at the Vines Restaurant.
Here they are seen doing their classic act "taking screamers
with the silverware." |
